Happy Birthday Brandon!

Today was Brandon's 4th birthday. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat, then came home & had cake & opened presents with the neighbors & my grandma. This year I decided it is way to expensive to keep buying cakes so I made Brandon his Spongebob cake all by myself! I am so very happy with how it turned out, especially since it is the 1st cake I have ever made!

Baby Ruzicka is due in July!

We are pregnant again! At first things didn't look too good, because I had a blood clot in my uterus, but my 2nd ultrasound showed it shrunk a lot & the baby healthy & growing! I am showing already which is crazy. I seem to show about a month sooner every pregnancy.

Getting ready for Christmas!

We have been busy lately getting ready for Christmas. The kids are having a lot of fun helping out too. Peyton has figured out ways to get the decorations off our tree with out getting poked & has already broken 3 glass balls, but I refuse to move the decorations because I want him to learn not to touch it!

Random Acts of Kindness...

Last night I had to go to the ER, it turned out to be nothing to worry about. But we got home kind of late & the kids were starving so we decided to go out to eat instead of fixing something here & having to clean up the mess. We went to the bowling alley to eat, it is a brand new place & has pretty good food. When we walked in I noticed a man sitting at a booth all by himself across from us & about 3 booths down, he was the only other person in the entire restaurant. We ordered & Hannah & I went to the salad bar to get our salads & our server brought us our drinks. After about 5 min. I saw the man that was all alone leave, a couple minutes after that our server came over to our table & said "Just to let you know, that man that just left payed for your entire meal, he said he remembers what it was like to be young & be raising a family & he wanted it to be a Christmas present for you guys." I almost cried, it was so nice of him! I had never seen this man in my entire life & have no idea who he is. What a nice guy! It may have just been a $35 meal to some people but it meant the world to us!

A new roof & new siding!

6 months ago we had a hail storm come through Monticello. Our roof was damaged a lot & our siding on the front was pretty dinged up. The insurance couldn't match our siding so we got all new! We chose Lighthouse red, it looks much more red in the pictures than in person. But it looks nice, we like it. We really stick out though every other house within 3-4 blocks of us is white, yellow, taupe or gray!

Peyton's party

So we had Peyton's party, it was small but fun. He had an Elmo cake which he gobbled up in seconds & had a huge sugar rush for about an hour afterwards!
We went & saw his pediatrician yesterday for his 1 year check up. He weighed 23 lbs. & was 30 inches, he is almost exactly the same size Hannah was at her 1 year checkup. Peyton was not happy about his 3 shots & having his finger poked!
